Showbiz News - Noel Gallagher, The Oasis rocker wants to be Britain’s next Prime Minister.

Gallagher predicts the British public will want him to the run the country – and he’s already got a five-year plan in place.

“There will be a groundswell of public opinion sooner or later which will carry me into office,” Gallagher told Absolute Radio. “And let me tell you, I’ll only be there five years and it’ll all end in tears – but it will be a proper, proper laugh while it’s happening.

“We haven’t had anyone since Tony Blair that can get up there and speak well.

“It annoys me that the biggest political icon from the last 30 years has been Margaret Thatcher, someone who tried to destroy the working class. It freaks me out.

“Politics is like football for me. Labour is my team and even if you don’t like a striker you don’t give up supporting the team.”
