Celebrity Gossip – According to News of The World, Victoria Beckham — who’s married to LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham — is no longer the queen of footballer’s wives. The former Spice Girl has been toppled by Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole (married to Chelsea star Ashley Cole) in the fight to be Britain’s top-earning Wag.
Cole, 26, has earned a reported £6.9million through TV and sponsorship deals and her fledgling solo career.
Victoria, 35, has taken home £6.7million over the past two years.
“It’s the end of Posh Spice’s reign,” a source told British newspaper the News of The World. “Queen Victoria is on her way out. And there’s a new princess ready to take her crown.
“There’s much more in the pipeline. Cheryl has the potential to be massive and leave other Wags — including Posh — behind.
“Cheryl will be the ultimate Wag money-making machine.
“While Victoria’s slipping down in many people’s eyes, Cheryl’s star is on the up.”
