The Beatles former personnel, Ringo Starr, confirmed that there is no rivalry between him and other former Beatles, Paul McCartney. The rivalry issue is often heard since they both released a new solo album in almost the same time.

As previously rumored, Ringo’s new album called Ringo Star 2012 has been released two days ago. While McCartney’s new album, Kiss On The Bottom, was released on February 6. The close intervals that ultimately led to speculation of rivalry.

In an interview with Spinner, Ringo stated that there is no competition among the fellow ex-Beatle. “Honestly, we had dinner together after Christmas and I did not know if was releasing an album. I also did not know the album will also be released only a week after my album,” says Ringo

“No, there is no rivalry. Paul is Paul. Ringo is Ringo, and that’s what happens. We can not call him to say ‘You must cancel your record. Since I did it first !’. We go through life, we create music and chose the release  date, that’s it, “added Ringo.
