Alicia Keys Talks About ‘Element of Freedom’
New York singe Alicia Keys has her own formula to express freedom. In her fourth album, Alicia talks about the ‘Element of Freedom‘.
Many changes were made in Alicia’s new album. Like it or not? Listen first before you judge.
‘Does not Mean Anything’ which is the first single is a classical pop song. Drum Beat and bass sound is very dominant, with a touch of Piano from start to finish.
Alicia still poured some R & B and soul in each song. But sometimes it doesn’t stand out, like in the song ‘Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart’. Alicia’s vocals seemed to change. Songs which is not quite a ballad seems to change the characteristic of Alicia’s voice.
In ‘That’s How Strong My Love Is’, Alicia once again shows her talent. Soul ballad with Alicia’s syle with a little “freedom” shows how she is a talented musician.
One song which is a super R & B soul is ‘Put It in a Love Song’. Alicia collaborates with Beyonce on this one – a perfect duet. Even though Beyonce is more dominant in the song.
Another song you can’t miss is ‘How It Feels to Fly’ – A perfect song for Alicia. The last one is ‘The Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down’. A Duet version of the song with Jay-Z was previously vey popular among music lovers. But Alicia’s solo version is better, well, prove it yourself.
Overall, Alicia did made a lot of new stuff on this album. But no one ever knew whether it would work for her? Well, only Alicia who will pick the results later.
