British newspaper The Sun reports that Bad Romance hitmaker Lady GaGa is set to team up with Toxic singer Britney Spears. This idea came from GaGa’s father, who asked Spears to record a duet with his daughter

GaGa took her father, Joseph, along as a guest when she attended the Grammy Awards recently. When Joseph saw Spears at one of the bash’s aftershow parties, he apparently told the pop princess his superstar daughter is a huge fan and would love to record a duet with her.

“GaGa has made no secret of just how much of a Britney fan she is, She has even admitted she used to have posters of her on her wall and she was a great source of inspiration when she was a struggling songwriter. She was delighted when she found her dad chatting away to Britney at the party.” a source told .

“He introduced them and the three of them were locked in conversation for ages. At the end of the chat, they exchanged numbers and agreed to go into the studio and work on music together as soon as GaGa finishes her Fame Monster tour.”

GaGa previously collaborated with Beyonce, the Pet Shop Boys and Sir Elton John.

It’s very flattering but at the same time I think it’s sexier when you don’t try and you’re just yourself. We all like to feel sexy.” she said.

Lily Allen, the Smile hitmaker, prefers Britney Spears to Lady GaGa. Allen was asked by Harper’s Bazaar magazine which of the two singers she likes the most — and insisted Spears is a legend.

“You can not compare Britney with Lady GaGa,” she said. “Why? You are putting Lady Gaga at the same level of Britney Spears?  I really cannot believe it.

“Lady GaGa is good, but she’s a new artist, Britney Spears is a legend.

“They are two different artists, two forms of entertainment but very different, is like comparing Picasso to Dali.”

Celebrity Gossip – Britney Spears has been left devastated after she proposed to her boyfriend Jason Trawick — and he turned her down. Spears apparently asked Jason — who is also her agent — to marry her while in Sydney, Australia, where she is on tour, on November 20.
